    Default Tulsa hotel suggestions

My family is going to go to Tulsa here in a few weeks for leisure. Does anyone have any suggestions on hotels in Tulsa? I'd like several suggestions please.

Depends on where you want to stay. Downtown, best would be the Adam's Mark but its expensive. The Double Tree at Warren Place is nice, and if you are wanting to stay where all of the restaurants and the mall is, the Renaissance and about a dozen other hotels are right off of 169 and 71st.

I believe the Adam's Mark is now the Crowne Plaza. And I haven't heard the greatest reviews on it.

I stayed at Hilton Southern Hills last summer and really liked it.

I'd have to say though that Hotel Ambassador is probably the nicest hotel in Tulsa. Check them out at www.HotelAmbassador-Tulsa.com

Renaissance is also one of the nicest, but is expensive.

I would love to stay at the Ambassador, but would like one with a pool....any suggestions there?

    Rambo-

I stayed at the Savoy last year...HUGE rooms for $109 a night! It's a small hotels w/ about 8 rooms.

Renaissance if you have the money.

I've stayed at both the DoubleTree Downtown and Warren Place. They were both pretty similar. They both had indoor pools, but I wasn't hip on them. In fact, I thought they were pretty filthy. Room was nice, but other than that, nothing spectacular.

I'd be curious to know more about the Sheraton, Marriott, and Radisson in Tulsa.

Check out the Cherokee Casino and Hotel - the rooms are very well appointed.

Who'd want to stay at a smokey casino. Gross. Plus the money doesn't even benefit Tulsa. I like Cherokee Casino, but I wouldn't stay there.

The money doesn't benefit Tulsa? What are you smokin' in the casino? Ask the City of Tulsa and the State of Oklahoma if they would like to lose all the jobs and tax revenues generated by the Cherokee Casino. Ask the employees where they spend their paychecks. Ask the surrounding gas stations and stores if they would miss the thousands of players in the smokey casino coming into their businesses buying things and paying sales tax. Ask the Tulsa vendors that sell food, liquor, linen services, and a thousand other goods to the Casino if they're paying taxes and hiring employees.

What about the McBirney Mansion Bed & Breakfast? It is really beautiful - kind of pricey and it may not be the best place for young kids but it is not run of the mill. http://www.bbonline.com/ok/mcbirney/

Actually the state and city of Tulsa doesn't get any tax revenue. It's on Indian land.

too bad about the indian tax money too...think what our state could do with all of that extra tax money

Casino employees and casino goers generate commerce in other Tulsa businesses and that does create tax revenue and more jobs.

What hotel has Rambo decided on?

I think we're going to stay at the Hotel Ambassador in downtown Tulsa, but we're still looking into the Marriott. Anyone have any info. on it?
