Thread: Verizon 5G Internet

    Default Verizon 5G Internet

My MIL is moving from eastern Oklahoma to an independent living complex here in OKC. We’re looking for internet providers and are considering Verizon. She just needs basic internet to search the web on her computer, no streaming. It’s a cost friendly option and wondering if anyone has any recommendations for or against?

None personally. But our neighborhood has a pretty active FB page. When providers other than COX started becoming available there were a few posts about Verizon. All said it was fast, reliable and easy to set up and use. And usually if there's anything to complain about our group doesn't hold back.

We live in Harrah and have had the Verizon home internet box for a few years now, and we are pretty happy with it. We initially had satellite internet when we first moved out here because that was all that was available, and it was terrible (and expensive). It was a huge improvement when we switched over to Verizon and it was a lot cheaper. We stream 100% of our TV watching and it does a pretty good job keeping up with 1-2 devices streaming video. Overall, it's been pretty reliable for us. We moved into a new house at the start of the year and there is cox service on our street, but they wanted a few thousand bucks to extend the line to our house (we live a couple hundred yards past the end of a dead end road), so we decided to stick with Verizon for the time being. We'll likely eventually upgrade to cox as the kids get older and we start adding more devices. I would 100% recommend the Verizon home internet box based on our experiences with it though.

Verizon should definitely get the job done for what she would be using it for. My only concern would be signal inference if its a multi-story complex. Shouldn't be an issue though.
