I would also add that Des Moines, IA will have 33 different cities with nonstop service by next May when a couple of new routes are added. Not all of their nonstops have daily service…but regardless, OKC only has 22??
How many of those are leisure destinations served by Allegiant? Losing Allegiant was a pretty big blow. I know some hate Allegiant but they offered a low-cost alternative to popular places. XNA-Northwest Arkansas has nonstop flights to 10 cities on Allegiant: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Mesa, New Orleans, Nashville, Gulf Shores, Destin, Tampa, Ft Lauderdale and Orlando

We know that Flint, Michigan has massive demand to PDX, enough to get a direct flight on Allegiant, multiple times a week. OKC needs more leisure-type flights like that. Or is OKC a poor market, leisure travel-wise?

https://ishrionaviation.com/news/top...-united-states 3 of the top 50 underserved routes involve OKC. For an airport OKCs size, that is a lot.

On KOCO today, they talked to airport management and it was mentioned that the airport should be announcing an international destination shortly into the new year.

any idea when they'll update the website? It's embarrassing.

Good data find, and puts some credence behind our constant complaining about the lack of an SFO or BOS route. Interesting that we have more than Tulsa.

I think the thing with Tulsa, is OKC has more travelers, and this may be a strictly #s based poll.

If Boston was a hub for anything other than JetBlue, I think we could get them. I do think we get SFO back in 2025.

Nice update. A mobile app would be useful also.

Just curious - what do you people use the airport website for? I fly at least every other month, and I never go to the website...

We are very infrequent fliers and we use airport websites to check what food/drink options there are before we go so we can get there early enough to eat there before boarding. Since months, if not years, can elapse between airport visits, things can change in that time.

I never use the website other than when it’s posted here to look at what is updated. That’s very peculiar. I just expect things to be open as they should be. Oklahoma City should be a normal airport.

Changes to things like parking garage rates, any construction updates that impact where to park or get dropped off, press releases regarding new routes...and at times if I am picking someone up from the airport and don't have the exact flight info it's easy to glance and know they landed from their destination or how weather is impacting all airlines.

Sometimes I forget who flies where out of OKC. Depending on who I am traveling with, it might be easier to get in and out of LAW for my travel companions if we're going to need a connection anyway, for example.

I can't seem to find an at-a-glance map on the new site. It seems to just have a table of destinations served which is rather unfortunate from a UX point of view.

Some people have strong preferences for certain rental car providers. Checking an airport's website makes it easy to see if that is an option offered (or what potential alternatives are). We've had some trips where that was the deciding factor between two airports that otherwise adequately served our destination.

That said, I use the websites for my destination airports far more than I use OKC's website. I'm sure many other travelers do the same, especially when checking what potential transit options may be available to them.

Yes, I will usually look for transportation options to and from the airport, where to pick up a bus, things like that.
