Next eight games are rough. 6-2 would be fantastic 7-3 would keep us in the top three area. 4-4 were dropping down to 2 probably 3 seed
This will be a challenging rough stretch for the Thunder starting with the Bucks in Milwaukee, NOLA (away) and Houston (Home). If the Thunder can beat the Bucks (IMO) will swing the momentum of the current top four in the WC (OKC, DEN, MIN & LA). Let's not forget that once the playoffs begin it will be like a new season.
Personally, I believe the Thunder can wear down the Suns or the Kings in an opening series--same can be said for Denver. Dallas will be a tough because of their length and point guards if both are healthy.
Denver and Minnesota still have to play each other two more times so I don’t think we’ll drop to the 3 seed, especially with the tie breaker over Denver, but I do think we’ll end up the 2. Just a way harder schedule than either of those teams have outside of playing each other.
I think we are better off 2nd seed. We want to play the Kings or the Suns rather than Dallas or the Lakers in the first round. We don't match up well against Dallas or the Lakers.
Yes they play Denver 2 times but if they Split those games really no harm no foul. We are losing a few games coming up also. Outside of those two Denver games Minnesota schedule isn't that hard. Pistons, At Nuggets, Bulls, Rockets, Raptors, At Suns, At Lakers, Wizards AT Nuggets, Hawks and Suns. So their road games are hard
Denver beats Minnesota both times than we most likely end up the 2 seed as we will have the tie breaker with them cause of the better Division Record.

What a win. I was on board for 2 seed but I looked at the Lakers schedule vs the Suns schedule the Lakers are going to finish 8th and be in that 7-8 game. Win they are 7 seed which they will want if OKC is the 2. I could see them lose if Thunder are 1 seed and take their chances in that final play in game for the 8 seed. I'm sure they want no part of Denver. Looking more likely we end up with the Lakers.
Suns got : at Denver at Okc at New Orleans Home to Cleveland, Minnesota New Orleans, Clippers, at Clippers at Kings at Minnesota/ Lakers on the other hand have Memphis twice, Raptors, Nets
Three seeds almost gets us a better first round match up with possible Pelicans, Kings but than you don't have home court in round two. Just have to beat no matter who your playing in the west.

Looking at the remaining schedule this year, I think we have a chance for a 57 win season. I would love to see us match up with Mavs first round, both a shorter back and forth for the players, and both arenas will be packed with fans. Good introduction for those who haven't played in that atmosphere before
Win as many as you can now, be either #1 or within striking distance of it - then adjust accordingly. Give yourself as much control as possible with just a few remaining games. Mark experimented with substitutions last night, so be prepared to see more of that as we get closer.
Tonight we play the red-hot Rockets at home. They are playing for their play-in lives. In fact, the upcoming game between them and Warriors should be a great one.

Tough loss tonight against a plucky Houston squad. We made some good plays down the stretch (especially that Giddey shot while he was sitting down) but Houston just played very well in the 4th quarter and OT. Tough to beat a team when they’re playing that well, especially when we didn’t have SGA.
Feel like a lot of calls were missed for us at critical moments!
Great game with a big time playoff atmosphere. Green was a force for Houston and it stung to have Brooks hit those two big 3s in OT. The game was called two different ways - tight early and then down the stretch they swallowed the whistles. In any event, probably a good playoff prep type game for a lot of thunder players with no SGA.
Tough game, definitely missed SGA last night. But we fought hard not having SGA in the lineup. We still have some tough games ahead. I know health matters, but now is not the time to take the foot off the gas. Would had to fall to 3rd or 4th limping into the playoffs.
OK I was wanting 2 seed than ok we probably fall to 3. 1 seed would be nice However I'm now to the point where seeding means nothing in this west. Everyone is so bunched together what does seeding do get you one extra home game in the second round? Is that really that big of a deal? At this point it's ALL ABOUT MATCH UPS. Matching up with a team is way more important than seeding. Just my opinion.
