Drove by this car wash this evening and right behind the self wash bays was sitting a wrecking excavator. Looks like this car wash will be torn down soon..

That car wash had gone downhill 10 years ago. I'm surprised it took this long for something to happen

Just gotta say, i go to the one on Telephone Rd on the west side of Walmart, and its great.

It will be a drive thru car wash called Tidal Wave Auto Spa. They are keeping the existing drive thru building but everything else has been removed. After you drive thru you have access to the vacuums. There isn't going to be an self-service washing anymore.

The car wash industry is just amazing to me - how it has exploded the last few years. First of all the ones recently built, but also the ones which are not that old which “re-tool” often. Clearly is a big industry worth a lot of infrastructure investment and upkeep.
