4000 J/kg or so. And I’m not sure there’s much of a cap left either, so I do wonder if one of these cells will sustain.

Cells in North Central OK are having a very difficult time staying discrete.

Tornado on the ground near Omega in Kingfisher county. Big lowering in the area, small rope-style tornado has tapped up and down a couple of times.

Looks like the dry line is firing the whole line is unzipping behind the storms.

The storms forming in southwest OK are having a tough time getting north of gracemont. They just can’t keep together.

Stillwater needs to prepare for damaging wind event now. The cells there are likely going to be surging forward as a bow echo.

Who is that Stillwater poster here? @Bunty

I"ve just about got to think there's a patch of more stable air near Chickasha, because storms that *do* start to show some development west of there start to head ENE, hit that area, and get knocked down almost immediately on radar. Bigger area of storms west of Lawton, they bear watching as they move to see if the exhibit the same behavior.

Yeah, I think its more of an MCS wind threat now. Tornado threat quickly coming down besides that leading storm.

Rain wrapped circulation at Vance and south Enid.

50 mph wind gusts surging north ahead of the dryline. Surface winds behind the dryline are gusting 40mph from the NW.

Okarche, Calumet, and El Reno need to pay attention to these cells developing immediately to the west of you.

When would the Apache storm be reaching the metro?

Weird storms so far today. Lots of energy but limited tornado development.

Tornado warning along I-44 in Chickasha. Storm is ahead of the dryline and is discrete.

There is hardly any chasers down here on this storm.

Appears that Chickasha storm has made a right turn and now has a prevailing easterly direction....

Cold front surged faster than expected. Storms couldn't stay isolated.

    Question for anon/semi/etc

In watching the radar on that Chickasha storm, as it starts to move east, I *think* I see the leading edge of the storm hitting that same region seemingly right at the McClain county line and getting knocked down some...am I imagining things?

Looks like the radar is being blocked by something.

Yeah I think you nailed it - something is interfering with that radar that attenuates the reflected signal.

Looks like that Chickasha storm is continuing to roll east, almost clear of I-44 on the west edge. Seems right now it would scoot **just* south of Norman, but a slight north shift would change that.

Wind just shifted and rain starting to fall near Penn Square.
