Looks like a dome will be added somewhere ?

Maybe next to the parking garage.

The site of OKANA to the skyline is really impressive. Thanks again for the pics, Pete...

.Sounds like a gas line was hit during a construction. Evacuations are currently underway.

This is kind of off topic but kind of on too but anyway....I was wondering why Oklahoma doesn't just legalize gambling. We already have casinos here. Oklahoma ranks 4th in the country with the number of casinos. The tribes get the bulk of the money now so why don't we have gaming where the state gets a bigger cut off the profits like Nevada.

I think the tribes would sue Oklahoma for a lot of money. If there are agreements in place with them, then breaking those would likely not be worth it.

From what stats I can find only like 20% of Oklahomans actually gamble weekly or more, around another 20% will even do it once per month. So it is not much of a shock politicians would be somewhat tepid on supporting it if think may lose support from others in their base.

The current set up allows them to play to both sides; as is available to those that want it, can distance themselves from it as a tribe issue to those against it, and get still get tax revenue from it.

Oklahomans will vote dry as long as they can stagger to the polls.

the current compacts with the tribes say they are the only ones that can offer gambling ... they say those compacts auto renew ( stitt sued the state lost in lower court and didnt' appeal .... the state should appeal that all the way ..

What about a small theater for tribal acts or something that would feature tribal artist from all tribes?

This already exists at FAM. It’s called the Five Moons Theater (in honor of Oklahoma’s famous indigenous ballerinas, known as the Five Moons).

Oh so beautiful resort--along the Oklahoma River. Those pics Pete attests to the work on this development coming together. Thanks again for sharing the pieces of OKANA looking like a jigsaw puzzle awaiting final touches.

I hope massive, beautiful landscaping takes place. That area has been desolate for so long. It would be great to see tons of greenery throughout this project.

Those tubes were in two halves so it looks like they started assembling sections.

At around 2:46, you can see a large sunken round area next to the lagoon. I can't tell what that is going to be. Splash pad area?

Also, at the same time (3:15 is a little better), there is a large structure on the left side that looks like it is a few stories tall. On the renderings, it just looks like a big wall. Is that supposed to be a video wall of sorts?

It will be a WIBIT course.

That is labeled as 'drop slides' on the plans and I believe the one side (facing west) will also serve as a video wall.

Looks nice! Reminds me of the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock.

I ran by on the river trail yesterday and there were workers out where the bridge is going. Seemed like they were doing sampling or surveying.
