Default Huge fire near downtown 3-23-21

    Just took these.

I believe these buildings were empty warehouses; immediately west of what was Banquet Cinema Pub.

Fulkerson said the building that caught fire stores a theater company’s props, costumes, furniture and other equipment that caused a “pretty heavy fire load.”

I've walked by that building quite a few times and yes it was filled to the brim with stuff, Can't verify that what I could see through the windows was any kind of theater props. It really always looked like shelter donation type items.

Always thought it was a cool looking building that someone could put to good use one day.

Rhonda Clark from CST has posted on Facebook this building was their main storage facility. Props, costumes, furniture, etc. Big loss for them.

And also for theaters across the state, apparently. Heard an interview on the news last night that they supply lots of other theater companies too.

That makes it all the more sad. Theaters obviously had a bad 2020 and now with light at the end of the tunnel this happens.

Feel bad for the folks at CST. Hopefully they can quickly rebound before their productions, which are scheduled to start in about a month.

The building was owned by Steve Mason.

This might have the phone interview they did, I think it might've been with Steve Mason.
