Two of the biggest icons of their trade gone in the last week. Sad. Yeah we often have people pass as we get older. But Jim Brown and Tina Turner were absolutely one of a kind in what they did.

Is this obituary thread for famous OKC people or just any famous person? Not sure why an obituary in this thread for someone in Hollywood or Cleveland, Ohio or whatever is relevant to OKC Talk unless there is an OKC connection. Doesn't bother me personally, just asking.

A slight aside, I just listened to the podcast episode on Buffalo Calf Road Woman on "What really happened".

In 2005 Northern Cheyenne storytellers broke more than 100 years of silence about the battle. They were sworn to keep the oral history regarding the battle a secret. They credited Buffalo Calf Road Woman (the heroine of the Battle of the Rosebud where she won the name "Brave Woman") with striking the blow that knocked Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer off his horse before he died. (Custer also went through something like 17 horses. His horses were very unlucky and were frequently killed).

To be fair, Jackson made some great music but was a horrible person, like Sinatra (and others). I've had to learn to separate the art from the person, which is hard to do sometimes.
