2020 Census, mailed mid March

Information about the 2020 Census will be mailed to most addresses beginning in mid-March 2020. People can respond online, by mail or by phone. If no response is received, a census taker will come to your home to follow up in person.

Just did mine online. Curious as to why the gov't needs to know whether my kids are biological or adopted? Same with whether my wife and I are in a same or opposite sex marriage?

It was an article in today's daily oklahoman that made me think to go do it. I am not a journalist but seems to me if I was writing a story abut doing the census online or by phone....I would include the web address and phone number. Seems like it would be relevant to the story.

Census records are one of the best ways to track geneology. Not being able to tell if children are biological or not or being able to track illnesses or conditions that are genetic would really muddy waters. Same for same sex marriages with children.
