    Thanks.

It's MAPS3 money, so the project is already fully funded.

Excited for the canopies and pedestrian space, worried about the landscaping. With minimal sunlight because of the location, I hope they planted things that will do well.

Saw these the other day; they look impressive! Very much a statement piece for the area.

Oops, completely forgot to post my pics from Sunday. Doesn't look like much has changed since then.

Until these pics, I had been worried about all the pavers being in place before those canopies were installed...now no more worries

yeah I rode through the week before and everything was done except these structures and honestly I was like where are they even going to put those, but they found a way...

You can see here the bases are actually in planters:

What I thought was most interesting that weekend I rode down this street before the shade structures was there were still real trees planted. This is good but I wonder if these things will cause issues for each other in the future.

This section of SW 4th Street is now named after our former mayor:

interesting that this location of the cc and park is where Mick wanted it from the very beginning! So the naming fits.

So impressed with how this is all coming together. Got a chance to visit the area this morning--can't wait to see all of the barriers and barrels moved and replaced with some human activity. Hope this will be a game-changer that gives OKC a second look...

    Excellent pics, Pete.

I feel like this strip is begging for some actual greenery. It's so much cement and gray metal--all one note color scheme wise. Some lush green landscaping, or actual ivy growing up these poles, or some kind of greener at the top of these things to make them look more tree-like would be welcome.

Could use some greenery; so this space will be more of a pedestrian walk and relax area with basic foot traffic.

Speaking of green spaces, what is that green rectangle on top of the building in the 3rd picture?

My guess would be a putting green. I think those are holes spaced out.

Yes, it's a putting green and can also be used for events.

This will be such a unique and cool area. Can't wait to see the finished result.

Impressive shade structures, much bigger than I expected.

I don't really see the need for much green space here when you have 87 acres (incl. Myriad Gardens) of green space directly across the street.
