    Varsity Sports Grill was there.

Glenbrook Center East. 3 stories I believe.

Michael's Plum was first on the ground floor (late 70's/early 80's) then Toma Roma's ribs then Varsity Sports Grill. Chesapeake bought the building and tore it down about 10 years ago and the land has been vacant since.

After finishing utility work, they have broken ground for the apartments.

Parking lot and foundation of the Ellison Hotel just to the east.

After years of nothingness, this area should start to change very rapidly.

It’s nice to have it all done at once.

Not that the drone shots undersell it, but I continue to be impressed with the scale of all of the work in this immediate area when I drive through here 1-2 times per week. It will soon be one of the few areas in OKC you could fairly easily and comfortably walk to the gym, restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. Picturing a commuter rail station here (albeit 10 years down the road) really makes me think it'll be one of the most desirable hubs to live at.

Hopefully with the slow implosion of Chesapeake we also end up with a more varied mix of office building tenants in the area and not just a bunch of empty buildings.

Wasn't the state DEQ in the process of moving up here to take advantage of some buildings with lab space, or am I remembering some other department?

I'd love to see Chesapeake give way to a variety of tech and biotech companies occupying their office space.

This project is now called The Canton at Classen Curve.

A couple of new renderings; first units should be ready by January 2022.

The Canton? What next The Binger? Who comes up with sht? The Edge? Just about pick any city in Spain and it would sound more high end then the names these developers come up with.
