Another Rogers Concepts joint bites the dust. They obviously have a better track record with bars than with restaurants.

The landlord forced them out at Tipsy Tiki right next door and they recently sold Pink Parrot.

The one time we went we liked the idea of it and the food seemed good. But they were not sitting people in half of the tables due to staffing issues. But the manager was making sure people saw him (in a good, hospitaple way), and was making sure people were happy. We thought we would keep it in our rotation but were giving it time to garner a bit more servers, oh well....

Don't they also own Industry Gastro Lounge?

    Don't think so.

But they are the ones behind the new Industry in Moore.

Looks like this space will become Santos Mexican Kitchen and Cantina.

It's really nice inside and they had installed a huge kitchen. Hope this proves to be a good operation -- key and visible corner on the canal.

And “bottle girls”? What is this, a bar from the 60s or a Mexican restaurant?

LOL “bottle girls” is a term currently being used for waitresses who handle bottle service at clubs.

Yep. A lot of bars call them that so it lets potential applicants know they need to be over 18 to work there. Not meant as a derogatory term at all.

Just seems like an odd combination. So its a normal Mexican Restaurant during the day and in the evening it turns into a nightclub, but nothing in the name suggests its a night club at night?

I guess we will see how it goes. a Lot of times when you shift between two areas, you fail at both.

It’s not a club per se after 10, but the Jones assembly does it pretty well as did 747and most of the campus corner restaurants in Norman. La Brasa did for a long time too (not sure if they have since covid)

Jones Assembly doesn't have bottle girls.

This place seems to be a throwback to ~ 2005 Bricktown. I'll be surprised if it lasts a year.

2005 bricktown? You do realize there are multiple night clubs that have bottle service in Bricktown currently and there have been since Bricktown became a district, right? I can think of at least 4 off the top of my head. Have you been to Bricktown recently?

Bottle girls are all over the country. They usually are sexily dressed young girls who stroke the egos of certain clients to increase sales. Think early playboy clubs and wannabes. They are a throwback that exists mostly in nightclubs and not restaurants. In some places they are bottle servers and aren’t touted for their sexiness, and can be either gender.

Yes and it sounds like they're turning this into a club at night.

Santos Mexican Kitchen & Cantina seems to have cratered.

No movement for several months and now their Facebook page has been deleted.
