Thread: Oklahoman.com Lock Down?

  1. Default Oklahoman.com Lock Down?

Anyone else having issues with every single page (including the contact us page) forcing the "buy a subscription" banner to come down? I can cheat it and copy the txt just in time before it scrambles it, but that's a lot of work.

Just to be aware, im more likely to stop using the site than pay them.

Yep. Been doing that to me for weeks. I have a subscription and login, but the login "fails" each time I try to login. Pretty worthless at this point.

ugh this is soooo annoying. You know what though, all i have to do is open the story and select all > copy real quick before the randomizer kicks in. So sucks on you joklahoman. I just paste that crap into Word and read away.

Protip: delete your cookies to reset your article count. This works for a lot of other websites as well. I would happily resubscribe if they would make the paper worth the money that they charge. I am sick and tired of short bull**** articles that have next to no research or value behind them.

their reporting has only become regurgitation bits after news has already broke. im not paying for an opinion section and OU coverage.

Works for me on iOS & PC, Chrome, Safari & DuckDuckGo. Check your browser & security settings.

No real investigative reporting going on these days at The Oklahoman. They are a headline service with very few exceptions.

I had already cleared my chrome cache and it does it in Firefox too. Not too worried, but wont ever pay them for 2nd hand reporting anyway.
