I saw this identical banner sign posted with 'coming soon' above a space along the north side of second street while waiting to turn north on Boulevard, right next to a Papa John's. I guess there will be two locations in Edmond along the same street?

Website has menu photos. That's likely to be their downfall

perhaps i'm out of touch, but i do not understand why the average family would be interested in this. from the captain pasta website, the "captain's feast" feeds 4-6 for almost $40.

with one quick trip to the grocery store and 30 minutes of prep (at the most) in the kitchen:
    32 oz of pasta, $3
    jar of sauce, $3
    frozen meatballs, $6
    frozen garlic bread, $3
    total: $15

for less than half the cost and with minimal time and effort a family can have the same meal or better.

the value isn't there for budget-conscious customers and the perception of quality isn't there for customers who don't mind spending. i just don't see these "pasta bucket" concepts working out in the long term.

I am guessing it will do well for families with kids that like spaghetti and it is CONVENIENT. Not sure there is much demand for hot pasta when it's 100 degrees every day, but it may pick up in the fall.

As mentioned above the feast to feed 4-6 is almost $40. You could grab two pizza's next door at Little Caesar's, and some crazy bread for about $20.

Seriously, the stock photos of a plate of plain noodles, compared to the photos of pasta on the Emma El's thread? One looks appetizing; one looks like a PowerPoint slide for Sysco.

I don't consider myself that picky about Italian, but I really find just about all Italian in the metro to be disappointing and usually expensive too.

Pepperoni Grill is the only place I'm ever drawn back to.
