Very glad to see this going back to at least some non-car use.

It will still be about 80% car storage.

The origanl front doors and awning are incredible. I wish they were restoring it.

Guessing they opted to not go with the glass roll-up door depicted in the rendering..? Disappointing if so; that really set it off. Hopefully the steel roll-up in the photo is a temporary measure while they await delivery of the other.

Agree...that door looks totally out of place ...not even the right color.

Maybe they’re just waiting for the right glass.

It is super special glass, custom built -- It may take 2 years to get it installed.

    ^^^^^^^^
I detect sarcasm...but I'm sure if there IS going to be a glass roll-up as depicted that it will most likely be built-to-order. In which case the temporary install of a cheap overhead door like the one in the photo makes sense, so long as the building was otherwise ready for occupancy.

Having thought more about it since originally posting I'd wager that is the situation. Since it remains largely car storage there likely wasn't much interior build-out to be done, in which case why hold up occupancy while waiting for a custom door? Guessing it ends up being as nice as the rendering. I did the same type of low-information popping off that I often find most annoying when reading threads here.

I talked to a contractor today who said the wait time for siding and windows is ridiculous. A temporary O/H door is the obvious solution.
