hasn't been terrible for Washington State...

i'm still waiting to see if a real republican challenger tries for the nomination... not someone who is going to change their party to libertarian and back 6 times in the next year like Bill Weld will

In thinking about Trump's re-election chances, he has these things going for and against him.

    FOR:
-Strong, enthusiastic, almost cult-like following among his base which comprises around 35% of Americans
-The Democratic Party, particularly the progressive wing led by the likes of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is not popular right now outside of the coastal urban areas.

    AGAINST:
-High disapproval rating. The anti-Trump vote will be more motivated to turn out than in 2016. Trump is strongly disliked by those who aren't part of his base and there are very few people undecided about him.
-Since the 2016 election, he has lost support among white suburban voters with a college degree. That could mean trouble in purple states that he needs to win

There's very little chance Trump won't be re-elected unless the economy totally tanks within the next 19 months. The only question is will he win the popular vote this time. Doubtful.

It's a ways out and every Dem under the sun has announced a campaign. People are confused. It will tighten up. I still think, of those that have announced, that Don would have an excellent shot to retain, but so SO much could happen between now and then.

Democrats can't even muster the moral courage to rebuke an open anti-semite in their own ranks.

    Watch what happens next.

A whole lot of people who've been fooling themselves about what exactly the Democratic Party now is & where it is headed are going to exit it.

Plenty of rank and file normal Dems in many states have been holding on hoping the party will return to sanity.

By this time next year they'll have given up and left.

You are watching a national party commit suicide in real time.

They are gonna get so freaking insane and crazy they are literally going to shrink themselves to the point they can't even compete nationally.

Dems were successful in the 2018 midterms in *LOCALIZING* the races in the House. Dems won on "I'll bring you MORE of your fair share from those rich bastards who aren't paying enough yet! I'll bring the gravy to the district!"

Trump campaigned hard in an attempt to NATIONALIZE the local races. In an off year that didn't work.

2020 will be a PRESIDENTIAL election. The strategy of trying to LOCALIZE a Presidential election won't work when Dems went FULL ON FREAKING INSANE NATIONALLY on every issue

In the 2016 Presidential election, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 2.9 million votes in the popular election. Perhaps not surprisingly, 4 million of those votes came from the two most politically corrupt cities in the USA--Chicago & Los Angeles.

Trump's popularity has nothing to do with the economy which isn't much different than it was under Obama. In fact it’s worse in Oklahoma than it was a few years ago. It's all a backlash against the SJW movement.

And the GOP has a leader that won't condemn white nationalists and claims that movement has good people in it. In fact Agent Orange claims to be a nationalist. How did those mid terms work out for ya outside of LA and Chicago?

The Dems also have a leader that won't condemn antisemitism and claims the "movement" has good people in it (aka congresswomen). Just saying.

    Deflection lol

And like was stated if you actually read, the 2018 midterms was not nationalized anywhere.

All votes no on today's resolution were GOP. One "present" vote was Steve King. Just saying. Btw what is the anti semitism "movement"? Are you refering to those in the tki torch parade in Charlotsville, chanting "Jews won't replace us" that Agent Orange said had good people? You are playing a little loose with your facts and inferences .

You can believe what you want, but they voted the way they voted because it was weeker than the already week sauce that it started out as that they voted in the affirmative for already.

King voted present because he has basically been ostracized from the party. Because that's what happens to people that don't afford other people the basic human dignity just because of their nationality/race/religion.

So where was the GOP resolutions on King when the GOP had the majority or resolution on racist comments from the White House? Any ASSumptions?

MN Jewish leaders talked with Ilhan Omar about anti-Semitism last year. Why they remain frustrated.

This is not new either. She's had "problems" with this for ages. She is not an idiot as Pelosi is trying to roll with.
