Just don't understand it, there are so many vacancies at all of the other strip centers in that part of town, why build more?

Different developers who over saturate the market with the same three stores in each one.

The closest liquor store and donut shop are located across the street, this strip center will provide better access to those who live south of Danforth and driving east to not have to cross the center lane. Maybe instead of the planning commission approving strip malls that sit with low occupancy, maybe they should focus on developing a center turn lane in Danforth to aid with the amount of congestion that happens with McDonalds, Chicken Express, Hibdon's, and this soon to be strip center? Then there wouldn't be a need for duplicate development?

I don’t think a turn lane would reduce bland strip malls in Edmond. In fact, it could be argued it would make them more prevalent. But in all honesty, it’s just a response to demand. If the city would stop being so hostile to higher density/higher quality developments, you could ignore these strips malls that are sprouting up like weeds to go shop at the better ones. They’d be worth it, trust me.

Any news on possible tenants for this place? So far it looks like they are using the cheapest possible construction materials.

OK, this looks finished now....sitting completely empty with no signs of any interior work for a possible tenant.

The building under construction on the north side of Danforth is a new Westlake Ace Hardware. So I wonder what their current space on the east of Kelly will become?
