Edmond Outdoor Ice Rink

I took the family to the ice rink at Mitch Park this weekend. Wasn't bad, but a little disappointing. I wasn't expecting something equal to the Devon Ice Rink, but this seems about the equivalent to a backyard party jump house. A small rink, with a couple of side panels that had fallen off, a little bit of seating, and some lights for after dark, but no holiday lighting, no decor, etc. I'd love to see them step this up a level. There's some opportunity to leverage Mitch park and all the trails into a neat winter wonderland experience, with the rink as a capper.

I could be wrong, but isn’t that what they’re going to do with Mitch park? Make a Christmas destination with a bunch displays through the park and walking trails?
