Good guy, sure. Great recruiter?, hyperbole. What metric are you using to define greatness?

Not to mention John Blake famously deleted the entire recruitiing database on his way out the door at OU and got in all types of trouble with the NCAA when he was as assistant at North Carolina.

Sad for his family and friends that he passed but I think there is substantial evidence he was a heavily flawed person -- and that's being kind.

John Blake's problem was how he addressed the press. He wasn't your typical coach who was savvy with handling the press.

As for his recruiting and relating to the players--he held his own.

In a way that could be fun. In another way I’d just as soon see the season cancelled all together if the Big 10, Pac 12 and ACC cancel their seasons.
