At least she was honest in saying that more requests for help will be likely.

I should have known when the documents say "$4.5 million in funding assistance", in OKC that means "we are just giving them the money".

That 100 year old company line caught my eye as well, I am really curious who it might be.

I wish it were a relocation from out of state. But probably not. But more downtown employees, the better!

The rendering looked nice. Would be better if they included the apartments in the initial phase.

Maybe Hertz? They are selling their building on NW expressway. Fits the size

We won't be able to take this development seriously until they apply for their FAA clearance.

We now know this is a very critical step.

Or when they release updated renderings next week with a spire on top of the office building

I would also say OG&E, but they are already downtown. But Hertz makes more sense. But not sure how may people can fit in a 60,000sqft office building? 300-400?

As long as these developers have also built a 1,100 ft tall building in Miami and tell the press repeatedly that they've raised 100% of their arbitrary total project cost, I think we're in good shape.

Hertz is not headquartered in Oklahoma City.

    What about Macklanburg-Duncan?

Any chance Kimray might shift some of their administrative employees to downtown?? Admittedly I know very little about them, but it seems like they have a lot of people in several buildings.

Hertz HQ is in Estero Fl. Hertz is slowly moving to Florida.

Their Rent a Car HQ was in OKC for many years.

Kimray owns a large parcel at Eastern & Britton. I know at one point they were going to build a new HQ and manufacturing facility there. That was several years ago though, so not sure if that is still in the works or not.

Despite the HQ no longer being here, doesn't Hertz still maintain corporate and administrative office/backoffice(s) in Oklahoma City?

I would think all of htat would be larger than just 60,000 square feet though, so I don't think it's them (and Hertz hasn't been a business for 100 years).

i don't think it is Hertz ... but they have been in business 100 years .... it was founded in 1918 ..

Thanks for that correction; I didn't even realize cars have been around that long.

They started out as a horse and buggy operation in Chicago.
