Ok, I was getting excited.
Ok, I was getting excited.
When do you think they will start on the apartments and retail to the north? Will this have to be completed first?
I don't think they'll start on Boulevard Place until the end of the year when the garage is largely complete.
By contract, the garage has to be finished by the time the Omni opens in January and I'm sure they'll want it finished when the convention center opens this fall.
The transformation of this whole area from the first picture in this thread is just incredible!
Yes, it's amazing how much space it has filled with quality development. When the apartments get built it will be a pretty significant infill project. Now, we can hope for Strawberry Fields and the old cotton mill sites to densely fill in the next decade and we will have added a huge amount of urban downtown. With infill going on up to 23rd, and hopefully from the OU HSC to Western and Plaza Area, we might actually have a real urban environment big enough to brag about.
fingers crossed.
and ill add to that, hopefully existing and new inner city districts just outside the central city core [39th street, Asian District, Paseo, Uptown, Plaza (you mentioned), Eastside-23rd, Oklahoma Health Center including the Innovation Core, Capital Hill, etc) that are mature enough to praise/pride about.
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
Wow...that parking garage swallows up the Fairfield...
I dunno if it's gonna be big enough, I think it needs a couple below ground levels and another floor or two on top

Wow! Now that is making a statement, and with a parking garage too.
Here's a bigger image:
Love. It!
Pretty much topped out and siding going up on the north side; this elevation will be completely covered by the new mixed-use development, Boulevard Place.
So I am guessing/hoping construction will begin soon on the new mixed-use development
