"Included will be a state of the art audio and lighting, plans also call for a 360-degree immersive visual system."

This makes me think it'll be similar to COSM in Dallas which is a smaller scale version of the Sphere in Vegas. This is exciting.

Fischer and his partner have very deep pockets and my understanding is it's pretty much a done deal.

Will be great to see this property come back to life... It's very cool and unique inside.
If we want to see best case scenario and what should be the model and template for this project, check out The Armory, in Minneapolis.

Was there in November for the Pretty Lights run and it is a gem of a venue! If our Armory is ANYTHING like the one in Minneapolis is, OKC is going to have something to be very proud of!

This is a much better location for a music venue than the Gold Dome. While this may be unpopular some people, there would be a substantial parking issue and strain on the neighborhoods with a music venue at the Gold Dome. The armory has much more flexibility with space currently.

I heard you, we all heard you, you should stop hitting the replay button, it's getting very annoying.

very exciting, I just hope they have at least a plan for structured parking eventually for the grounds. Like was said by Pete I think, could be shared with the state. I am hoping for Gold Dome as well, which (also) needs to consider structured parking so not to negatively impact the hoods.

We now have an opportunity to save one of the most iconic structures in our city. There's been more of an effort to save the Gold Dome than any structure that
I can recall in my lifetime.

We have Civic Center Music Hall , Criterion, Tower, Gold Dome and The Amory. That's a lot of venues that will be available in our city.

The properties outlined in red are owned by Fischer. The small parcel to the east will likely be razed, as I saw a recent demolition application. My guess is they would also demolish the sheds to the south of the Armory.

Everything else south of 23rd and west of Lincoln is owned by the same state body (OMES) that sold this property to Coop/Fischer - except the parcel to the south owed by Bison Range LLC. My understanding there is a parking-sharing agreement with the state and I believe some of the empty lots may be paved.

Should have plenty of parking quite close to the venue. This is really such a unique property and there are no homes anywhere near this, so there shouldn't be any issues with planning/rezoning.

We should see detailed plans soon because they want to start work this spring. This could all move very fast.

Here are a couple of drone photos I took near the end of December:

This was rezoned as a PUD in June and is under the jurisdiction of the CMCIZC. The sheds already have demolition approval and I'm guessing the demolition request for the building to the East (formerly where hotel was planned) will be presented at the February meeting. There was no parking agreement or plan in place when the PUD was approved and it was a requirement for any building permits to be issued. This shouldn't be a problem, but they have to begin construction by June 2026 otherwise the zoning reverts back to governmental/public designation. Hopefully the new developer gets things done, because the Coop group blew through so many deadlines. Technically they were in violation of the deed restrictions because construction was supposed to start within 2 years of the May 2022 transaction with the state.
