    Default Hobby Lobby and Antiquities

More on the antiquities that were acquired by the Green family and whether they were stolen from Iraq or even genuine.

Front page Wall Street Journal article on it today too. Going against advice on whether artifacts were even real or that they were likely stolen, lying on customs forms to avoid detection... a lot of deceit from a supposed man of God.

Yeah it seems like the Green family is full of shade. Not exactly the type of behavior you should be showing for a Bible museum. We're going to lie and cheat to talk about the Bible and its message. Little hypocritical there Greens.

in this particular situation, wouldn't it be the professor that had the papyri on loan for research, removed the catalog records from the owner's archives, and sold the fragments as if he had the authority to do so be the one who who is lying and cheating?

It does beg the question what due diligence the Greens did before buying stolen goods.

You'd think they'd have done extra due to their past history...

the Iraqi artifacts were purchased in 2010. these fragments were purchased in 2013. the controversy surrounding the Iraqi artifacts occurred in 2017, around four years after this purchase agreement occurred.

Did not know that part, didn't really care enough to click 2 more levels deep, which is where that info was, but that would be a good reason why they didn't do extra due diligence.
