Thread: SendaRide

    Default SendaRide

I saw a story about this on the KFOR news tonight and had never heard of it before. It is a new ride sharing service started locally and, given what they specialize in, it could be very successful.

Curious about a few things though (just off the top of my head, haven't looked any deeper)....

1.) How is this really different than the national ride service companies? Looks like they are hiring drivers that already do/did work for Uber/Lyft.
2.) Uber and Lyft appear to do the same background checks last time I looked into it.
3.) Didn't see any mention that this new company is having drivers legally drive under their own insurance. Are they using the same 'don't ask don't tell and we have our own umbrella policy' the others use? Is this company funded well enough to handle claims?
4.) How is a child or patient coming off anesthesia any safer with the company/driver than with Uber/Lyft?
5.) Are they charging a premium for this service compared to Uber/Lyft?
6.) I don't think Uber meets with drivers in person, but Left does (and most driver's drive for both).

What I'd prefer to have seen....

1.) Are they doing fingerprint background checks?
2.) I'd like to see company dash cams issued to all drivers that record the road and the interior of the car (with audio).
3.) Would like to see that they recruit people with childcare education, off duty medical type students/employees, etc.
4.) Is there a driver profile/rating process for customers to see? (appears there is from their website)

All I know is what was on the news segment and what I saw on their website.
