Thread: Downtown Blasts

    Default Downtown Blasts

Good Morning, I have a question that I have been meaning to ask for some time and this morning was reminded in a jolting way!

I office on the east side of Cotter Tower fairly high up. A couple of times a month I hear blasts from east of 235 near the railroad tracks and see puffs of smoke. This morning's was particularly strong and I felt the shock wave hit our building. Many of my office mates reacted. I believe it may be coming from the Dolese plant or one of the scrap metal facilities.

What are they doing over there? I imagine these are quite strong if you are closer to the source.
