140ft used to be the allowable max. I don't know what it is now.

By right, it still is, although 80' is actually the preferred height limit (see below from the zoning code). Someone could theoretically go to the Board of Adjustment to go higher than 140', but they'd have to prove they are suffering a hardship only at 140' tall.

" - Section 7150.1.F. includes a guideline that suggests a height limit of 80 feet but allows up to the maximum of 140 feet. "

Does upsetting Hot Rod count jkjkjk! I understand the love for high rises, but I think this looks great for that corner!

If I could have chosen any to pull through, this is the one.

This is going to be great when it’s done. They’re going to need to do something in the alley where the Social Room is as its currently extremely uninviting but the hotel should kill it here.

Glancing back through the posts I don't see any mention of a rooftop bar or anything of that type. Is that correct?

This project is such a great addition. The businesses in that area have actually struggled a bit and I hope this reinvigorates it. I've always thought the pedestrian traffic should be higher on the street. I'd love to see a mixed use project on the lot west of it to with retail on ground level since the parking garage there is dead.

Does Drury Hotels still own that lot?

They paid some serious dough for it too. About $129/SF.

Couldn't find it on the plans, why is the back quarter not rising with the rest of the concrete pours?

    There is no back quarter.

That will be open. The building is l-shaped above the 1st floor.

This has to be one of the better located hotels in Bricktown.

I know that the Westin was thrown out for the current Renaissance Hotel, but is that set? I would hate for the current one to become flag-less, given its location.

Did our current Sheraton originally carry the Westin flag...

Not originally, but at one time it was a Westin.

I thouoght the current Renaissance will become Marriott once the new Renaissance opens. ..

We do need a Westin downtown though, along with Hyatt, Holiday Inn, and Double Tree; among other flags.
    Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
