Yep, place barriers in the parking spaces to prevent parking. Then you have a natural pedestrian pathway.

Excavation and site prep appears to be complete. I bet we start seeing major action next week.

From a few days ago... They have been working away for weeks trying to get the foundation ready before they go vertical.

So sad nothing is in it along with the area where hooters used to be.

This will be such a great project for Bricktown and Downtown OKC. Great density and land use, right on the streetcar line.

Update on this. They are done drilling piers and there is a big hole where I assume elevator core is. Click image for larger version.

I truly hope OKC is able to rebrand the current Renaissance. It is a large hotel in the heart of downtown. Would be a shame for it to go the way of the NW Expressway Marriott (before it got rebranded).

I heard some a source that this would be rebranded as a doubletree.

Also this won’t go unbranded. This is too profitable and nice of a hotel for that

Idk just what I’ve been told. The owners can go whatever way they want. Marriott doesn’t own the property

Is this going to have any first floor retail/restaurants? It seems like blocks of hotels are bad for walkability, but obviously helps the local businesses.

This is going up fast now. Multiple columns have been poured and first level elevator core has been poured.
