I think it is a marketing ploy to encourage purchasing a vanity/custom plate.

It could have been a good design with poor execution IMO.
Here is a better photo.
I don't hate it... At least it will match my truck!
I'm really not sure what to think yet. On one hand, I kinda like it... It's different and bold. On the other hand, from afar it may suffer from the same issue as the previous one: the design/picture will look like a blob.
It's really not bad at all. I was expecting the worst so this is a pleasant surprise. It's already growing on me.
Anything is better than the current plate, but it'll still be hard to pass on the Thunder plate.
Welp. 46th Star for me!
I like it.
I love the idea of a scissortail. I mean I have one tattooed on my arm in my OK theme sleeve and love it. but do they not have access to a better graphic artist? it could have been much nicer and clearer.
I think it actually looks pretty decent.
Meh, it could've been executed better. I much prefer the current plate.
I think the thing is butt ugly. It looks like a truck hit the Twitter bird and they wrote the epitaph in some block-level refugee font from about 1980. The prior version at least had some style and grace to it. This one? Looks like it was pulled from the back of a box of Cap'n Crunch. Ugh
I would like for the plates to go back to being old school white plate with green lettering and "Oklahoma is OK" in small font on the bottom.
I like it, and you'd have to be a moron to not make out that's a bird
Schrödinger's license plate, simultaneously doesn't look like a bird and looks like the twitter logo.
Well, looks like our legislature managed to pass a "it's not a tax, so we didn't raise taxes" mandatory fee for everyone while at the same time taking care of the "why is there another religion besides Jesus/why is there a native american on my plate" crowd.
It might have a different state symbol on it, but this plate will always be a symbol of our misguided and useless legislature to me. It could be the best looking plate I have ever seen, but it will still symbolize those idiots in the capitol.
I like it much more than the current ones. At least this one has a little more artistic interpretation than just a picture of a statue stuck on the side. I was really hoping for a revamp of the "Oklahoma is OK" theme though
Since the state is making us promote travel in Oklahoma with a small billboard on the backs of our cars, they shouldn't raise the price of the tags.
I prefer the current ones over that. I feel like the current ones are very modern and clean relative to most state's plates.
Is it common in other states to have advertising for the state's website/travel info on license plates? I don't recollect having seen that before.
