It won't be called the Creamery...

There are actually 3 separate parts to this project. The largest going into the old Creamery building will be called the Edmond Milling Company.

The others will be called the Edmond Yacht Club and The Stables.

All 3 are grouped together in various historic structures that will get massive and impressive makeovers.

Thanks for the clarification, Pete. This makes so much more sense.

    Bad bad breakup

The whole thing is just a mess

As of two nights ago, it is no longer on anyone's radar

Uhg, that sucks. I guess on the bright side is that I expect someone to develop this anyways. This area is booming too much for it to remain empty long. I know of several large office buildings going in downtown, which will bring lots of daytime and after work business to restaurants and other retail. Hurd is quickly filling up, and so is 5th and Broadway, and some of the other side streets.

Chip Fudge owns all that property so something will be done here.

Yeah this is really a bummer. I get something will be done here but now it's a longer wait.

    This project is not dead.

Spoke to Russ Johnson today and they are re-bidding the work with some new contractors.

Also, it's possible they may just do the creamery building project first, then the other two small buildings later.

Not sure what the current plans are(I hope they are going with the high end remodel) but this whole area is fenced off with some demolition occurring. I will try and dig up the latest plans I can find.

I messaged the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and they informed me the name of this entire development has been changed to Ice House Block and Brandon Lodge is the lead developer. I’m glad to see this moving forward.

It will be a collection of restaurants similar to the original plan.

I need to get out there with my drone and take some new shots.

I really hope that crab restaurant looking thing comes through like the renderings. I love the work that AHMM does

I was recently told the plans will go forward pretty much as originally planned.

Downtown Edmond is really great these days.

This is going to be such a cool project.

Also on the other side, the farmers grain building is getting close to completion. I had the privilege to tour the inside with the owner of the upcoming restaurant and it’s beautiful. It will be a sit down, higher end farm to table location. The most exciting part will be the chefs bar with a tasting menu. So cool to see this concept coming to downtown Edmond.
