    Severe Weather Reports

    This article is a focus on document severe weather reports for 2015. Severe weather is defined as wind over 58 mph, hail over inch in diameter, and/or a tornado. Information will be updated as new data comes in after events occur. Please feel free to contribute and data or photos to be added.

    **For easier viewing, to the right of each date you will have three options. If you click on "[Hide]" it will hide that date to reduce how much is visible at once.**

    4/3 Update - Replaced basic storm reports map with SPC Max Outlook verification images. The outlook chosen will be the one that reflected the greatest Day 1 risk area in Oklahoma and then overlay that with the storm reports.

    Non-Severe DaysThese are days that had active severe weather watches but did not document any severe weather within the state.

    Tornado ReportsTornado reports are officially documents and reported by the National Weather Service offices located in Norman, Tulsa, Amarillo, and Shreveport for Oklahoma counties. Data can always be reviewed at: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/?n=tornadodata-ok-2015.

    So there was only 5 confirmed tornadoes?

    There was talk of a brief touchdown near the fairgrounds. Was that not the case?

    Information will be updated as surveys are completed and the NWS releases their findings. Just because a spotter claims to have saw something doesn't mean that is what it was.

    Moore tornado rated at the low end of the EF2 scale based a couple tiny areas. The March 25th, 2015 Severe Weather Event

    SHEET METAL ALSO IN THE MEDIAN. POSSIBLE TORNADO. TIME
    ESTIMATED BY RADAR.

    storm chasers reported power flashes near a funnel cloud.
    Radar data strongly supported a tornado as well.

    ...nws tulsa survey team rates the afton tornado an ef1...

    The afton tornado had estimated max winds of between 100 and 110
    mph. More details...such as path length and width and start and end
    times...will be revealed later this evening.
