It's about time these lawmakers realize that, just because they have a high position, doesn't mean they can do what they want to do and get by with it. I just hope he spends the entire 30 days in jail with the other criminals.

Lawmaker jailed over groping incident

By The Associated Press

State Rep. Mike O'Neal of Enid was jailed today as part of a plea agreement on a misdemeanor charge of outraging public decency.
O'Neal had been charged with felony sexual battery for allegedly groping a woman after making a vulgar comment to her at an Oklahoma City hotel in February.

The agreement calls for O'Neal to serve 30 days in the Oklahoma County Jail -- then return to court to enter a plea on the misdemeanor charge. O'Neal had no comment as he surrendered to a sheriff's deputy and was handcuffed and escorted to jail.

A spokeswoman for District Attorney Wes Lane says the victim agreed to the deal and says it was important to her that O'Neal serve time in jail.

O'Neal is a Republican serving his fourth term in the state House of Representatives.

If they do the crime, then they need to serve the time. This lawmaker got off easy.
