Thread: Next Point of Concern . . . (outrage du jour o' the day)

Default Next Point of Concern . . . (outrage du jour o' the day)

So I have the TV stuck on the channel featuring some Ogles and a couple of sorta cute bantering girls, including some weather info, and The Doctors pops onto the screen. In case you missed it, today is National Backpack Awareness Day. Kids are having back problems from toting around all the stuff they think they need to lug to school. I, for one, am outraged. Time to change the channel.

I totally agree. We need Ogle-free media in this town.

BTW, and not to be a grammar policeman, but "du Jour" and "of the day" literally mean the same thing. It comes from French.

I know. In Scotland they say "Aye Laddie . . . 'Tis a Crock o' $hite, it is."
In Ireland they just punch the other guy in the face.
And when the wee laddie complains about the weigh' o' his backpack they force feed him haggis an' sell him for medical experimentation.

(when you get to be 62 you might get the tenuous joke/humor)

btw, Rover: the correct term is GrammerNazi. =)
