I’ll reserve judgment until the mixed use village is constructed(if it ever is) but yeah as of right now to brand Chisholm creek being anything close to a walkable development is ridiculous.

Saw work start today on the area between Weokie and Freddy's Frozen Custard. What's going in there?

They are still working deals with possible theaters; might end up being something other than Alamo which is experiencing financial problems.

They are trying to work some deals with several retailers and restaurants.

This has got to be one of the longest periods they have gone without announcing anything new. Did momentum slow that much?

There are several things in the pipeline.

You should see some announcements soon.

I know you won't spoil their announcements (wouldn't expect you to). But any hints, or will we be happy with them?

They are facing significantly more competition for new to market retailers and food concepts + there is a deadly pandemic still going around.

And I've received several BOGO offers from Uncle Julio's in the last few weeks, which I am taking as a bad sign. You never see Ted's doing that, for example.

I was at a gathering this weekend and someone was talking about a "secret" BBQ place located in a basement somewhere in Chisholm Creek. I was quite skeptical because, 1) I didn't know there were any basements in CC, and 2) There is already a BBQ place (Bandee's). Can anyone confirm or shoot down this rumor?

There are no basements in that development.

There is a realtor on TikTok who saw their smokers and said something about a secret BBQ restaurant. He’s relatively new to the area so he didn’t know. He was quickly corrected.

If someone is trying to get you to come eat BBQ in their basement, run away!

Yeah, the smokers for Bandees are kind of behind it near the covered parking, so that's probably what confused this person.

Are there any photo updates for this area or has there not been much development since the last one?

I took this about a week ago of The Domain, apartments next to Topgolf.

There is more coming to Chisholm but can't share quite yet.

Man, this area just might make it and sustain itself for a while. Great transformation for the area, hopefully it spurs other developments like it around the metro.

I was told that before the pandemic, Uncle Julio's at Chisholm was averaging well over $1 million in revenue per month, presumedly the highest-grossing restaurant in the state -- and probably by a good margin.

Tons of people go there for a particular eating/drinking establishment but also know they can walk to almost a dozen other options if they don't want to wait.

The Gordon Ramsay place will only accelerate traffic and the overflow will benefit everyone there.
