Seems like a cool little project...

BROKEN ARROW – Andolini’s Pizzeria will open its fifth location as the 3,400-square-foot anchor to downtown Broken Arrow’s The District @ 222 development.

That $2.2 million, four-story mixed-use project by The Ross Group could break ground in two weeks, Warren Ross said with the Thursday afternoon announcement.

“We will hopefully open very early in 2015,” The Ross Group owner said. “They would twist my arm and want me to do it quicker.”

Andolini’s will lease the first floor of the 13,000-square-foot building planned for 222 N. Main St., to be built by The Ross Group from plans by Selser Schaefer Architects. The upper floors will feature 11 apartments, some covering more than one floor, giving Broken Arrow’s Rose District its first upscale residential complex.

At 120 seats, this will represent the largest of Andolini’s three full-service restaurants, said co-owner Mike Bausch. The company also operates a cafeteria for American Airlines workers in Tulsa and a food truck that operates twice a day, seven days a week.

Featuring a 1920s speakeasy styling like Andolini’s Cherry Street restaurant, but with more room, Bausch said the Broken Arrow restaurant will add up to 75 employees to the 115-employee company. He said its $2 million-plus first-year revenue would raise the company to $7.5 million overall.

“We plan to bring something big to Broken Arrow; we’re not going to build just another restaurant,” Bausch said. “We’re going to do some interesting stuff in Broken Arrow that will completely change the game.”
