Before the Design Review Committee next week is the proposal to add signage and outdoor seating to the Candy Factory Lofts.

Looks like a Pops is going in the ground floor with outdoor seating to the east, between this building the Banjo Museum:

I love that little area between the buildings. I always walk that way if I'm going into Bricktown, as it's a little oasis. I think POPS will be a nice fit for Bricktown.

WIN! This might actually help the Banjo Museum get by, and gives me another reason to be in Bricktown and not have to drive up to Edmond.

Yet another urban amentiy available to downtown residents that they can access on foot.

    Great fit. Very exciting.

I think this is freaking amazing... they will no doubt have a better selection of soft drinks than the Bricktown Candy Company, but I don't think there will be that much competition between the two other than that... so, yeah...

Plus there's not many things more "Oklahoma" than Pops!!! Awsome addition to BT!

You know, I really think if they could work on improving the food and making it worthy of the reputation, Pops could really be a fantastic brand. I see huge potential there.

I hope they serve alcohol at the Brick Town location.

Pops is a great concept, but the food is subpar.

i disagree with the alcohol hope, there are plenty of places to get stronger stuff...Bricktown needs more truly family friendly (sans alcohol) in the supposedly family friendly area. IMO

Agree 100%. If you've got to have alcohol, go somewhere other than Pops.

Yeah, as someone who could always use a good watering hole to drink my OKC sorrows away, I think there's something sacred in the concept that Pops has perfected. A lot of people go there just because they have special pops you can't get anywhere else. Whenever I'm heading north out of town, I frequently hit them up to stock up on Leninade. International Pops has it but they're really hit and miss with their stock, and Pops is a much better experience.

$500,000 building permit today for the Pops space.

Will be taking 9,620 square feet. That's a large operation, not including the outside patio.

Is Popz still coming to Bricktown? I have not seen anything since it was announced back in July.

I think Pops has completely stalled.

Probably due to the Chesapeake board's insistence that Aubrey stay focused on the oil & gas business.

  22. Default Re: Candy Factory

Nope, not stalled. Just going on a schedule that is veeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyy slow.

Wait, there are lofts in this building??? I have never seen a person going in/out of this building that looked as if they lived there. I thought it was office spaces.

I couldn't find a website for vacancy/rent information. Anyone know?

I believe the only thing in this building is office space for Advanced Academics.
