Deep Deuce had 1,384 residents at the 2020 Census, that's a population density of about 18,500/sq mi.

The '20 Census has the area bounded by NW 13th, Western, Reno, and I-235 at 7,831 people for a density of about 5,000/sq mi.

Any clue what building is going up on NE 3rd & Walnut? Has concrete and steel going up.

Also, looks like the La Baguette Deep Deuce is closed and moving locations.

I believe that NE 3rd & Walnut site will be a private residence.

And yes, La Baguette has closed and they said they will be opening a Yukon location.

Black Walnut will be expanding into their old space. However, the businesses successfully lobbied to remove one lane from Walnut southbound in favor of street parking which they claimed was needed for people stopping at La Baguette, especially in the mornings.

Well that is certainly disappointing. One fewer walkable place for dinner or on the weekends for those of us in the Deep Deuce area. They always seemed busy when I stopped in there.

I think the neighborhood "quick-breakfast" is saturated in DD.

Within very short walking distance, you have:
    La Baguette
    Belle Kitchen
    Flour and Flower
    All About Cha
    (coming) Dolci Paradiso in ALoft
Then whatever Wheeze The Juice is about to do across from that in the previous Native Roots spot.

I don't disagree, but it was a nice dessert stop after dinner at any of those DD places. Not all of them have particularly extensive dessert menus.

Stopped by Belle Kitchen this morning for my regular breakfast visit and was extremely disappointed to see they have closed (May location is still open). About the previous list, that is two on there that have now closed in the last few months, and probably the two most visited for breakfast.

Yes, La Baguette closed some time ago.

    Belle is now closed.

    Wheeze the Juice closes tomorrow.
