    Not sure people fully appreciate what this Whole Foods deal means. You will see in quick order a whole list of new retailers and restaurants that all will come now because of Whole Foods. Big box retailers, tons of restaurants, many of which might be the first ones in Oklahoma. This is a pretty big deal for the development of this intersection.

    it is a massive deal and i expect that the entire development will be built out in 2 or 3 years

    Any idea when they kick off construction on the Whole Foods? Also, surely the single family at Covell and Sooner gets rezoned commercial, right?

    Oh I’m sure it will. Just there hasn’t been a need for it be changed as it’s all currently homes sitting on big plots. Eventually they will sell and someone will rezone it.

    I expect most everything east of sooner up to i35 between covell and danforth will be commercial or possibly some multi family mixed in eventually over next decade or so.

    I do hope the WF isn't merely conceptual. Would be nice to know it will happen in the next 3 or so years.

    Wish they’d put a new Barnes and Noble out here. The quail one is in need of a renovation so bad and leaving the Norman one and 63rd & May seems like upper Edmond would be a better location for a newer, updated location and abandoning Quail.

    I don't see them abandoning Quail Springs, especially at May/Memorial with the traffic count.

    The biggest issue with I-35 and Covell is density. The east and north still, while certainly expanding, has plenty to fill in to match the density of the Quail Springs area.

    for whatever reason wells fargo doesn't have a presence in oklahoma

    They used to have a home mortgage office in Moore in the plaza South of tractor supply. But they closed several years ago

    They do have an investment office in Leadership Square. But that's as close as it gets.

    While I enjoy looking at the layout and list of places coming, without any dirt moving it is hard to get excited about this yet. I absolutely belive that if Whole Foods comes then the rest will get built as well and attract a lot of new retail and restaurants for this area.

    So this peaked my curiosity and I went to a Wells Fargo out here in LA, I asked about it in the branch manager, told me the federal government limits them on how many branch locations they are able to build. I kinda thought that was a load of crap, but I didn’t argue but maybe that’s true. I don’t know. I specifically got a Wells Fargo account because it’s one of the only major banks in Moab.

    chase is in 48 states and DC and has a lot more branches then wells fargo

    Yeah I didn’t understand it myself. But honest to god that’s what I was told by the branch manager. It was a lady at the WeHo location on Santa Monica.

    They also removed the sports complex from the north east corner and replaced with a multi family/retail label
