Is this San Antonio Talk or OKC Talk?
We absolutely love San Antonio and visit often. Would move there in a heartbeat if I could. Can't beat the hill country.
Yep and I really enjoy seeing SAs progress. It is extremely impressive and it’s amazing how under the radar SA is in Texas. I just wish we’d see more supertalls in SA proposed.
I would never have had any clue about the extent of new development in SA if not for this thread.

MASSIVE NEW URBANISM DEVELOPMENT BREAKS GROUND IN FAR SOUTH SAN ANTONIO
Wow that new urbanism development looks pretty slick. That thing is massive. Is there a timeline on the full build out?
Even though my title makes it seem like it just broke ground, phase one (in purple) broke ground earlier this year.
Homes will be available for phase one by next year and the apartments in front of phase one in 2023.
Next phase is the town center that will be built closer to the University (Texas A&M - San Antonio) you see in that aerial above.
Total build out is expected to take 10 years.
Speaking of new urbanism, this is another new urbanism development under construction on the west side of San Antonio.

This is awesome news!
SAMUELS GLASS STRUCTURE SET TO BECOME ‘MARKET AT PEARL’ AS PEARL EXPANDS FOOTPRINT
Silver Ventures, the developer behind the Pearl, is planning to restore the former Samuels Glass Co. building, 221 Newell Ave., into a market that will include four restaurants and a bar.
The building, designed by San Antonio architect Bartlett Cocke, was used by the Samuels Glass Co., which was founded in 1914 by Lawrence Samuels, from the time it was built until 2017, when the company relocated.
In 2018, the Zoning Commission approved the rezoning of 11 properties, including the Samuels Glass Co. building, as well as the Fox Motel site—both on Newell Avenue. The rezoning gave Silver Ventures the permission to renovate or build virtually anything it wanted: apartments, a high-rise office building, a hotel, a brewery, outdoor music venues and restaurants.
According to documents submitted to the city, Silver Ventures is planning four areas for a restaurant to occupy, a fifth area for a bar tenant, and then a larger market space, which will include a kitchen.
A timeline or cost estimates are unknown. It’s also unclear from the documents is the Market at Pearl, which is what it’s called in the documents, is modeled after another urban market in the U.S.
