Thread: Good News, the DQ is coming back to the metro area

  1. Default Good News, the DQ is coming back to the metro area

Dairy Queen set to return to Oklahoma City metro | News OK

Happy for Moore, but hope they build a few in OKC.

I'll drive to Moore for a Hawaiian or Tropical Blizzard!

Hope they build a few all over the metro. I love me some DQ.

I am hoping Midwest City is next. There a few spots left in Town Center that would be a good fit.

Now, if we can just get a Bob Evans here.

Would love to see Bob Evans here, but doubt it'll happen anytime soon. All locations are corporate owned and they are only opening up less than a dozen through 2015. I want to say the closest location right now is Springfield, MO. They just don't have a lot once you get away from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan except for Florida for all the snowbirds.

Bob Evans also had some locations branded as Owens (after the sausage company), there used to be some Owens restaurants in Texas (same building/menu as Bob Evans) but I think they might have closed up.

    There is one in Joplin.

Springfield, now Joplin, looks like Bob's creeping up on us. I'd sure hit one once in a while.

I love Bob Evans. I'd love to see them move to the OKC area.

You are correct. Owens restaurants in Texas closed down.

Perhaps they will "rebrand" the one in Quail Springs to a full Dairy Queen/Orange Julius.

    Progressiveboy,
There was one in/near Arlington, my family went there and stuffed ourselves, then headed to Six Flags where we decided to ride the "Cliff Hanger" first. What a mistake, we almost lost our breakfast on that first free fall. We waited another half hour before we got on anymore rides.

I had breakfast at Golden Corral before riding both sides of Mission Space at Epcot.... I did fine on the green side but I almost lost it on the orange side.
