I look at it this way. I work FOR myself as I work to keep myself financially solvent. I am EMPLOYED by Dell.

Dell is a really nice place to work. They treat us like humans and not investments. We are shown a great deal of respect and have seen a very friendly atmoshere.

Do you have a link for Dell that list their current open positions in OKC? I went to dell.com and didn't see that many for OK.

Yeah, self employed is the way to really make money here in OK. Since you don't have to pay your employees very much, you keep the profit.

But realistically, it's not that easy, worker's comp, self employment taxes, etc etc - that all cuts into your bottom line.

I'm in Real Estate and I like working with Churchill-Brown. They are a good company. But since I'm self employed, I get no benefits, I pay all my expenses plus an office fee and split my commission with the Broker so it very expensive to stay in business.
(Doesn't anyone out there need to buy or sell a house right now ? )

But they offer a lot of training and support, a lot of friendships, not to mention we are number 1 in sales in the Metro so that is nice.
