I shot an aerial video yesterday of the project. Beautiful day. I'll share it here as soon as I am able.

It was recently on the news and it's actually for lifting material in regards to a new copper roof, so really not work on the dome. The crane has to rise above the Guardian, so it's pretty tall.

325’ tall with 260’ radius. It will be pretty substantial.

Continental Oil Center is 262' tall. Crane will be a little taller than Valliance Bank Tower, which is 322' tall.

Drove along 23rd from Kelley westbound to Broadway and they were getting the crane up and running, the long arm was still laying on the ground when I drove by. It was quite impressive.

That crane that is currently laying over on the ground is the crane that is being used to build the tower crane. It’s pretty impressive in itself. A 900 ton hydrolic mobile crane. It’s a beast.

No, the assembly crane was moved in and built Thursday. The tower crane was supposed to be built today and tomorrow. Obviously the weather has had other plans.

The assembly crane is giant and yellow. Last evening the arm was laying down to the north nearly crossing over 23rd where the street goes below grade.

Are those blue trusses a tower crane about to go up there on what looks like a base next to the northwest corner of the building?

Looks like they're doing that Warrior challenge thing again. Probably the worst weekend weather-wise they could have gotten.

Wife works there and it's been a traffic nightmare all week, everybody will be glad when they're gone.

    And on another note:

Can't listen to a video while at work. Do they give any estimate of completion date in the video?

2021, with the House and Senate chambers being the last things done. Great video, thx for posting it, we happened to catch the news show it was on while randomly flipping channels.
