Good for Stillwater. They seem to be doing some good things and I hope they see positive results.

Good to hear. I'm originally from Stillwater so I like to see the town being successfully.

Meanwhile, turning to development that's definitely on solid footing, this photo shows a 5 story apartment complex under construction. It's to have 164 bedrooms. It will have six covered levels for parking. It is located at 4th and S. Hester, or 2 blocks south of OSU. Another 5 story complex to be bigger is planned on W. Elm, about a couple blocks from Eskimo Joe's. More off campus living space is needed for OSU's increasing student enrollment and after OSU bought and cleared off a residential neighborhood to the north for an Athletic Village, yet to be built on it. Further from campus, proposals for apartment complexes have been nixed by the City Council responding to complaints of residents, who don't want their homes next to them.

I remember seeing this awhile ago when I was up there. My late great-grandmothers house is not to far from where the complaints are coming I'm sure. I always wanted to keep her house and rent it out but was never afforded the opportunity.

Why does Stillwater call everything an "industry." It's old school to the point of being a turn-off...

Where's the fun in that when you can make things sound more complicated!?!?!?!? lol, I'm just kidding though, I guess maybe business sounds too local, and that wasn't what they wanted.

I don't know but anytime Stillwater is involved in an economic development deal they refer to them as "industries" which is always weird. Especially if you're getting an off-site healthcare HR operation.
