Wish they could've keep the Gold Dome sign and place it on top of the new sign, like it is now. This is really great though!!! So exciting to see this building is staying.

    Here is the rendering

    More renderings

I like how the rendering has a photo effect similar to a fifties postcard, apropos of a drawing of this building.

Just seeing the dome itself restored to it's shiny luster will be amazing.

Can't wait to see it finished!

Teemco just recently won an award for services they provide and we (my work) provided the tuxedos for them. I didn't realize they were the company moving into here.

Been like that a couple weeks. So much for historic preservation (like that the dome is being saved, but would have preferred the gold-anodized aluminum panels be restored).

I agree, but from their presentation, I don't think that would've been financially feasible. It sounded pretty cost prohibitive and involved removing each individual panel re-anodizing them and putting them back up. If this doesn't end up looking much different then the anodized version, I'm ok with it.

Plus, that anodizing process obviously didn't hold up very well so I'm all for anything that is easier to maintain and keep looking shiny.

I believe (like PhiAlpha noted) that this is a primer coat and does not reflect the actual finished product.

No, it's going to stay white. This will be the location for TopGolf.

    Just a kiddin'

It would be neat if they had lighting at night like this every night but not Christmas lights.

I saw this last night and it made my sooo happy (well...except the tacky inflatables on the roof).

Teemco, is really impressing me with the way they are jumping into this with both feet. Bravo!

Once it is refinished, just using good flood lights -- something like SandRidge Tower -- would be very cool on that shiny, gold surface.

Exciting that Teemco is bringing this place back to life and restoring it's former glory.

    Best thing from that article:
