Thread: Ceviche options in OKC metro?

Default Ceviche options in OKC metro?

I love ceviche but it's such a delicate dish that I'm afraid to try it just anywhere. I had it at Bolero and it was amazing. I never would have ordered it but the owner gave it me and it was great. It was in a tapas format as opposed to a full meal with all of the sides or I'd just make it my regular ceviche spot. I've dined at Inca Trail several times but never tried the ceviche. There is a place called ceviche house on 50th but it just doesn't strike me as a restaurant that sells the volume of fish needed to be fresh.

Anyone have any experiences that they'd like to share?

You'll never get any experiences about ceviche from me. LOL
I want my fish well cooked by heat.

If you've never tried it but like seafood, you're missing out. It tasts so fresh and remimds me of being on a beach in South America. It's a good cure for the winter time blues

Tried it art 1492 - it was 'good' but nothing special. I've actually eaten it several times in the summer when friends are insisting on going to Big Truck and we want something 'lighter' and the wife and I share it. Its really one of our favorites there.

I've never tried ceviche but I did try the pescado encebollado con pepian de choclo at the Ceviche House and it was excellent. I believe that the owners of the Ceviche House are Peruvian.

I might have to try 1492's and then walk across the street to try Café Do Brasil's but I guess the better comparison would be to order to go from both places and try them side by side.

If that doesn't work, just say screw it and walk back across the street to McNellies and get the fish and chips.

The ceviche at Inca Trail is good, but I prefer the ceviche at Mamaveca in Norman.

I think Tarahumara's has ceviche, but I don't know if it's any good or not.
