SSM/Saints is expanding a little too fast in my opinion. They are building like there are not enough hospital beds in Oklahoma City. When in fact every hospital in the city has anywhere from 1-3 shuttered units or floors. If they keep expanding, I could easily see Mercy or INTEGRIS starting up programs at their existing clinics to bring the money back their way.
Speaking from experience. You can save a ton of money if you save the ER for life threatening emergencies only.
There are several after hours clinics around the city that will see you for sprains, breaks and other minor illnesses. They process first come, first serve and your out in less then an hour. A few are one stop shops where they give you meds and everything right their in the office.
When you go to the ER you are standing line with patients in the lobby and your place is pushed back one with every ambulance that arrives. By the way don't call an ambulance for a minor issue. They will just bring you to the ER lobby just as if you came by car.
I think it would be great if it came here. Cant stand going to Yukon.
Should be opening soon.
