Default BBQ Restaurant on Classen Circle

Driving me crazy - can't remember the name of the BBQ place that sat right on old Classen Circle - anyone remember the name?

    Thanks!

Big Beef BBQ is the one that I remember.

I ate there many times. Not great, just good consistent barbecue. I was never surprised.

Thanks...just could not remember the name (probably because like you said it wasn't great). For some reason, the name Three Little Pigs or Three Pigs was what came to mind when I tried to remember it, lol.

is that where Jimmy's Egg is now? The BBQ place name sounds familiar from when I worked at the nearby McDonald's back in the late '80s

Yes, it is. Big Beef had a lunch special that consisted of sandwich, fries, drink, and a lemon fried pie, that I remember well -- and would love to have one today...

You know, you can get some pretty good fried pies at the corner of NW 50 and NW 51 (no typo!) which is just a bit west of NW 50 and Portland. Last time I was there, the pineapple one was great. They used to do several kinds of meat fried pies also, which weren't bad -- but somehow they've never quite matched the ones from Big Beef...
