Hmmmm... Where are you located? I felt a thud within my desk, but didn't even think twice about it.

No, its only going to be getting worse. There are movies and documentaries on Oklahoma's fault lines. And yes, there are hot magma flowing underneath Oklahoma. Its only a matter of time.

What movies and documentaries?? And there's hot magma flowing under the entire Earth. If you mean its flowing closer to the surface in OK, I'll point you to Yellowstone, Hawaii, and the entire Pacific Rim where it stays closer to the Earth's surface.

More drama from you...why do I respond??

I think I felt it at my house (104th and Penn). Shook the bed a little...unless it was something else. I do remember feeling something between when I went to bed and fell asleep (so between 1230-120a). Could well have been something else though.

I'm at Reno and Air Depot and it shook the floor a bit soft buzz, the boom, then a long slow resonance... knew it had to be an earthquake, its the 4th one i've felt in MWC in the past 4 years.

You're most likely a loyal shopper at the nearby Crest. I wonder how often I sacked your groceries and if you ever tipped me? :-P

I think I read somewhere earlier today that it was centered under the Braums on Reno in MWC between Midwest and Air Depot, just by the little Crest.
For once it's nowhere near a well or any kind.

If you have Google Earth, you can go to the USGS page where the earthquake data is. Under the "Maps" tab, you can download a .kml file which will put a star on the estimated epicenter.

In the case of this 2.9 earthquake, the star is on SE 15th St between Nottoway Dr. and Westminster.

Here is a Google Map with all of the recent Midwest City earthquake epicenters located.

Felt it - the strongest so far at the house. Moved my bed against the wall with a bang. Fun times!

The USGS rates this one at Magnitude 3.5 and the .kml file for Google Earth pinpoints the estimated epicenter at about 1/4 mile east of Douglas Blvd. just south of Jones - Spencer Rd.

I was already awake and felt the ripples as I lay in bed.
