Thread: Missile or Jet Off California Coast

Default Missile or Jet Off California Coast

Has anyone seen the video of the missile off of the California coast? There is no way you can watch the video and conclude it is anything but a small missile. My guess is China or North Korea got a sub 30 miles of the coast of the largest city on the West Coast and fired a missile out to sea.

I do love the people claiming it was an airplane though. They come up with all kinds of fancy math to help explain it, but it doesn't add up. If that was a plane it was hauling @$$ and was under constant acceleration.

    Here is the video:

It was a missile from a submarine. What else comes out of the ocean and flies straight up....with a big exhaust trail?

  3. Default Re: Missile or Jet Off California Coast

Obviously it was some sort of airborne craft. However, when the only evidence is conclusions drawn from a video tape, I keep my options open. We've all seen tons of videos that end up being something pretty non-spectacular in the end.

I personally have no problem admitting I have no training or expertise to rule in or out any possibility with any certainty. That said, I think it was an evacuation shuttle from the lost city of Atlantis!

Everyone knows Atlantis is on the East Coast.

It could only be one of three things. 1. A jet aircraft, 2. A missile, 3. A rocket

If it was jet aircraft then it only had one engine because there is only one vapor trail at the point of origin. The camera zooms in close enough to determine that the smoke is not coming from two engines. It also has the classic trail of a missile or rocket where there is more smoke closer to the point of launch due to the same amount of fuel be burned but covering a short distance. As the missile picks up speed the same amount of fuel is burned over a greater distance. Plus, if it was an airplane flying at them it wouldn't have disappeared. Even if the sun stopped shinning on it airplanes still have blinking lights that can bee seen for miles. Finally, why would only one aircraft produce this effect when hundrreds of planes would have been following this same flight path everyday?

It was too small to be a rocket and launching a rocket at sea would be all but impossible without everybody and their brother knowing about it. The launch facility would be huge.

Possibly an Aegis-class ship test of some kind...?

Pretty sure it wasn't US in origin or from a surface ship. Do you know how many ships there are in those waters. Someone would have seen a surface launch ship. It had to come from a sub.

My money is on the new leader of North Korea. They just sunk a South Korea war ship a few months ago and have twice fired rockets at the US that fell into the ocean thousands of miles short.

I did hear earlier today we might have shot down something in-bound.

Looking like it was the less than spectacular conclusion I alluded too..... http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/...n7041217.shtml

The best part though is going to be all the nuts that will insist otherwise. - because obviously its a government coverup!

It could have been the Pleiadians going back to their home planet and they wanted us to catch them on purpose...

I would suspect it was a test of mobility and launching of some West Coast Navy ships that can deter incoming missiles from the west...unless we find a group of dead folks in the San Diego area from Heaven's Gate who are fans of Hale-Bopp and long to return there...look!--just behind the comet's tail...you can just see the Mother Ship...

Maybe--the knot loosened at the opening of it and it just went up really fast...

Anyone who thinks otherwise has never seen a missile. Notice how the missile passes between the camera and the low level clouds. So much for being an airplane flying through cold air at high altitude.

After reviewing the video, I can confirm this is a missile/rocket.

Take this for what it is worth...I got it through a decent network of retired military pros...most of whom I know personally:

Finally there is something that has occurred, in which I am actually an expert and qualified to give a real answer about.

I am a retired U.S. Navy FireControl Technician, who is platform certified in the gun and missile systems on board Adams class guided missile destroyers, I have also worked with the Navy's Harpoon, Tomahawk and ASROC missile systems. (FireControl Techs operate, maintain and repair the computer, radar and periphial systems used to launch and guide the various naval weapon systems, we are the guys who "PUSH THE BUTTON")

Anyway, what I saw in the recent video concerning the object 30 miles off the coast of CA . Is blatently a foreign made, Large Cruise or ICBM missile, being launched by a sub-surface aquatic platform. First I know its a large missile because it did not exhibit the typical "corkscrewing" trajectory of a beam riding missile as it trys to acquire the targeting beam. This tells me its a Big Boy with a complete guidance system installed in it, what is nicknamed a "fire and forget" missile, as once its launched its internal guidance system takes over and there is no real need for external guidance.

Secondly, I'm fairly confident its not one of ours, as the vapor trail appears "dirty" it looks brownish. I have personally been involved in (5) SM2 missile launches, and (2) ASROC missile launches, and have been on safety observation for at least 15 more launches of Harpoons, Tomahawks and other missiles. We put a lot of sweat and money into our "birds" and part of that is the fuel cells, they burn very clean, a whitish-blue infact, not a dirty blackish brown. That missile had rather crude fuel cells, which tells me its not one of ours.

I bet the brass in Washington is freaked out big time, because of what I know of our "defenses" they should really have had a pretty good idea this thing was sitting there, and they should have been watching it, not only that the moment it broke the surface of the water and ignited our early warning dopplar should have picked it up, and relayed the info to NORAD, and the CAP units flying patrol over the country...

Any high ranking expert who believes this is a condensation trail off of a commercial airliner is lying or stupid. I hope you hear from other Fire Control Techs who saw the same thing I did!

I forgot something, as any Firecontrol Tech or Gunnersmate will verify, the protocals to launch a missile are so complex, there is no way this was an "accidental" launch. I do not want to share too much info, but there is no "one red button" to launch a missile, that's all hollywood B.S. Yes two keys are turned to arm the system, but it takes at least three other things to occur in proper sequence to launch a bird, so that's at least 5 people all doing something at the right time. Its impossible to accidentally lauch a missile!

They were testing out defenses, which Obama has been quitely neutralizing ever since he took office. Their nuclear sub was inside our 200 mile safety zone. We should have destroyed their missle and the sub immediately. It is an act of war which Obama has ignored and made us look weak to the entire world. Only China or Russia are capable of launching such a missle.
    What is coming next?

Thanks, jmarkross. Another reason for Obama not being able to be reelected. :-)

Thanks for the detailed analysis. I am no expert but something with the way the object was flying told me that it was not as it had been reported. It takes no stretch of the imagination why the official story quickly turned to oh yeah it has to be a commercial jet liner. Can you imagine the public outcry and rage that would have emerged if they had acknowledged that it was as you described a public display of ineptitude on our part by a foreign power in our waters? We simply were not paying attention and someone just showed the world how illusory our deterrent really is...kind of like our monetary system, based on confidence but when the debt is called....

Now this is not to say that we do not have the best and the brightest most committed standing force, becuase we do. They just need to be able to do their job and we need to not cut their funding and pretend that we are untouchable, becuase clearly we are not.

Another thing...the common consensus among the military is they do not trust Obama AT ALL. Should substantial things--begin to happen--it will be more than interesting...

I still laugh at people who think this was an airplane. My money is still on North Korea. You know when this missile was launched a lot of people had to go change their shorts.
