Discover Oklahoma with the former Miss Oklahoma is the Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom of old shows. I'll wait in the truck while Jack hunts for rednecked prairie dogs.

Former Miss America, actually. We've found some cool new places to go and eat through the show, and we're pretty up-to-date and knowledgeable about what's going on, so we've been surprised that the show has given us a heads-up on some things we didn't know about.

Never heard of it. I'll have to check it out sometime. Crazy to believe a restaurant like that exists in Sapulpa now, but times are a-changing.

I’m surprised the Chamber didn’t put them up in the Omni or FNC. Bit of a missed opportunity imo

Am I missing something? I checked out the menu and it looks very good but nothing extraordinary. Sapulpa is basically a suburb of Tulsa now.

It's nothing extraordinary, but Sapulpa has grown leaps and bounds since I moved to OKC. The prospect of a somewhat trendy new restaurant like that when I was growing up in Sapulpa feels slim to none.

Oh I see. The menu looks good and it certainly has some contemporary flair, but it's mostly meat and potatoes. I wouldn't classify it as "trendy" per se.

OTOH, I always enjoyed my visits to Freddie's in Sapulpa. Those were some good folks and that was some good food. And, I have a significant collection of Frankoma Pottery, so Sapulpa is a place I've always had a fondness for.

Sapulpa has a pretty cool downtown area if they continue redeveloping it.

The Christmas Chute helped get some eyes on their downtown. Though I tend to think one antique/re-use-it shop is enough for any town.

Someone needs to tell that to Guthrie.

I don't think having vacant stores are any better.

There wouldn't be multiple shops if they weren't profitable.

Exactly! There is obviously a market for their products. They don't all sell the same kind of stuff either.

Mayor Holt is promoting this article (if we want to call it that) declaring OKC the 87th best food city in the world. It at least sounds semi-quantitative.

We moved from OKC to South Georgia last November. We're on the coast so obviously the seafood here is world class, but other than seafood, we are SERIOUSLY missing the food scene in OKC. Seriously. We always loved the food there but didn't truly realize how good it was until we left.
